I am now trying to enforce some password policies, but can't seem to get it to work. The front end is Alfresco, and I can authenticate users just fine. This is my very first LDAP server (ApacheDS) I am working with. Or even more - common approach for LDAP servers And I just wonder if there is something similar for ApacheDS. Sure we can apply access control for anonymous binds, it is still not safe enough.
If the bind is successful, authenticate the userīut an extra user is not always convenient, and anonymous bind is not a very secure approach.

When I run all the code above without changing the passsword it works. However, when I get the docker-Image for phpLDAPadmin: docker run -p 6443:443 -name phpadmin -env PHPLDAPADMIN_LDAP_HOSTS=mydomain.at -detach osixia/phpldapadmin:0.9.0Īnd navigate to the login-page, the login fails due to wrong credentials. I verify the change by running: docker exec ldap ldapsearch -x -H ldap://localhost -b dc=example,dc=org -D "cn=admin,dc=example,dc=org" -w JonSn0w -ZZ ĭocker run -p 389:389 -p 636:636 -env LDAP_ADMIN_PASSWORD="JonSn0w" -hostname mydomain.at -name ldap -detach osixia/openldap:latestīy doing so I was expecting to change the admin-password from the default-pw (admin) to "JonSn0w" - this example stems from the github Readme. Then I start the Image with: sudo docker build -t ldap. I use the following dockerfile: FROM osixia/openldapĬOPY xx.ldif /container/service/slapd/assets/config/bootstrap/ldif/50-bootstrap.ldif However, when I want to change my root-password I encounter issues. I am using the oisixia/openldap Docker-Image.
